The first thing most people look for when they want to lose weight is the fast diet. Fast diets do not work for 90% of people. It is much better to lose 30 pounds in six months and not gain it back on, than doing it in 3 weeks and gaining it all back and then some.

Eating Less


A lot of people seem to think that loosing weight is all about eating as little as possible. Nothing could be further from the truth. A good healthy diet is about eating a lot of the right stuff.
I normally say 85% of what you put in your mouth should be good healthy food, and the last 15% is for the sweet tooth.

The Wrong Diet pills


There are lots and lots of diet pills out there that are actually more harmful than good. 80% of what you can buy either does nothing for you or will actually make you less healthy. Diet pills can be a good idea if you choose the right ones. I will guide you to what you need if you choose diet pills.

No breakfast


Eating breakfast is the easiest way to loose weight. By not doing so you are not telling you body to wake up. This means that your body will not burn calories as fast as it could have. By eating a good healthy breakfast your body starts to burn of your fat from the moment you start your day.

No Exercise


One of the major problems with losing weight without doing exercise is you lose muscle in most diets. This is a problem because muscle burns energy. With less muscles in your body, your body will simply burn less fat. This makes it very hard not to start gaining weight after you go back to a regular diet. If you exercise and build up your muscle mass you will start to burn more fat. Even when you aren't working out.

Focus on Weight


What does it matter if you lose a lot of weight, if most of it is water and muscle. Would you rather lose 30 pounds and 3 inches around your waist, or would you lose 15 pounds and 6 inches around your waist. Muscle is your friend. It is heavier than fat and it looks ten times better on your body.

The Wrong Junk Food And Candy


We all love pizzas, burgers and candy. For most of us it is impossible not to eat some unhealthy food. But when you are going to eat junk it is important to eat the right junk. Why not eat a burger with less calories than usual. A Burgerking Whopper with cheese has about 200 more calories than a MacDonald's Big Mac. When you pick out candy or junk food at the supermarket, take a look at the calories, you might be surprised that some of the things you love has a less unhealthy alternative and tastes just as good or maybe even better.

Setting impossible goals


Setting goals that will make your life not worth living is not an option. Long term goals is the way to go. If you make yourself go through hell to get results, it is likely the results will fade away just as quick. What you need is a good plan that means you can still eat good tasting food. The great thing about the long term plan is that you don't feel like you are missing out. When you finally reach your goal you will not even be missing what you once could not live without.

Drinking lots of liquid calories


Drinking your calories is the easiest way to get extra stomach fat. After a couple of soda's you have already reached you daily limit of sugar. All the sugar you eat after that will be converted by your body into fat. There is nothing wrong with drinking a soda every now and again. I personally drink 3-4 soda's per week. I used to drink that every day. This was one of my hardest habits to get rid of, but after a month of drinking in moderation I have no problem settling for 3-4 per week. You also have the option to switch to diet soda.

Overeating


It's no use dropping candy and junk food if you are going to overeat pasta, rice and potatoes. These products are filled with bad carbs. When you eat dinner it is important to eat a medium size portion. Most people eat way to much at dinner. Eating too much food at dinner is borderline as bad as having a bag of chips afterwards.
